Five Former CS:GO Stars Who Reached the End Of Their Careers

Five Former CS:GO Stars Who Reached the End Of Their Careers

Not everyone is destined to be as "long-lived" on the pro scene as karrigan.

This year is ending, but two big tournaments separate us from the winter off-season. More and more names of the idols who became famous during CS 1.6 and transferred their success to CS:GO, are gradually losing their relevance and fading away against the background of young talents. Whose career ship has gone over the horizon this year? We will talk about this in the article.

GuardiaN

The legend from Slovakia is spending his last months on the pro scene. Since leaving NAVI in 2019, he has not been able to return to the previous level. GuardiaN played together with seized in Trident/Singularity, but the team could not make it even to a stable tier-2 level. Since May 2022, the Slovak has represented the home club Sampi, and now he is in reserve. Most likely, Kovach will soon end his career as an e-sportsman and focus either on streamers.

Edward

Another former NAVI star looks a little more energetic in shape than the Slovak (6.1 rating of Edward against 5.7), but in recent years he has had much fewer offers from well-known organizations. Not every club is ready to invest in a 34-year-old player who is elderly by e-sports standards. The player's last three years passed similarly: Edward collects a stack, plays with it for a month or two and disappears for a year. There is no point in such an approach, so it will be more logical to pass on your experience to young players and try yourself in the role of a coach. And being a father in a warring country is not easy. In this case, the entire focus on the family is not only a considered choice but also a reasonable and necessary one.

allu

The member of the legendary ENCE team, about whom was written a song, now practically does not appear in the news headlines and today plays for a small Finnish club with less than 2 thousand followers on Twitter. Due to the AWP nerf, it has become more challenging to be a sniper, and the requirements from the top organizations will increase, which makes the chances of allu returning to the big stage close to zero, especially in the status of a world-class star. In 2019, the nickname allu was shouted by the crowd at the Spodek Arena in the final of the IEM Katowice Major, but now the Finn has a child and, first of all, he is now a father, and he copes with this role perfectly.

f0rest

The Swedish legend f0rest has not been in his prime for a long time - big victories for Patrick have stopped since 2017, and since then, the results have been declining, especially with the transition to a "nursing home" called Dignitas. Things were going badly for that team, there were only flashes from time to time at tier-2 tournaments, but in the end, the organization closed the CS:GO team and left the discipline. How about now, finally committing to a streaming career? Moreover, he already collects 1.5 thousand on average online.

Kjaerbye

The youngest player on the list (24 years old) may no longer appear at the top level. Kjaerbye was inactive for a while, returning in mid-2022 under the Endpoint tag. Unfortunately, the club mostly took last places at big tournaments. The cyber sportsman's rating is at a reasonable level (6.0), but the Dane has problems with motivation. According to Markus, he had already lost his love for CS:GO before, and his hands may fall again against the background of growing competition on the pro scene.

We will be glad if someone from these five proves otherwise and arranges a worthy "last dance" and loudly slams the door before retirement. However, generations change, and new highlights will belong to those who have never even run CS 1.6.
