Apeks became the authors of the third 16-0 victory in the history of Majors
The European club Apeks achieved a rare feat - their demolition of Grayhound at the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 Challengers Stage with a score of 16:0 became the third Major match in history where one of the teams failed to take a single round.
Throughout the Mirage bo1, not a single Grayhound player was able to make more than 6 kills, and only INS was able to reach a rating of 5.0. An interesting fact is that in the previous Major match on the same map against FORZE, the Australians were able to defeat the Russians, making a comeback from a score of 3:12.
16-0 at Majors
In addition to Apeks, only Astralis during their peak managed to destroy their opponents at Majors in a similar manner, doing so twice. The first time was at FACEIT Major London 2018 against MIBR, and the second was at IEM Katowice Major 2019 against Cloud9. It is worth noting that the Danes became champions of both these championships.
The BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 takes place from 8 to 21 May. Teams are competing for a prize pool of $1.25 million. The champion will also receive spots at IEM Cologne 2023 and BLAST Premier: World Final 2023. The schedule and results of the Major can be tracked through the link.
