Astralis take down Bad News Bears at EPL S14

A much needed win for the favourite.

ESL Pro League Season 14 continued on Wednesday as Astralis, who suffered a defeat against ENCE Esports yesterday, faced off against a winless Bad News Bears squad, seeking its first victory in EPL.

Inferno was a one way street, however, as Astralis managed to lock down on the defence once again, as “1-3” deficit turned into a “11-4” score at the break. It did not take long for the Danes to close things out with five consecutive rounds on their attack, moving to their own pick of Nuke.

There it was a much closer affair, as Bad News Bears not only led at the half, “8-7”, but managed to jump to a “11-8” lead after it. Down but not out, Astralis secured a vast majority of the remaining rounds, taking their favourite map, “16-13” and moving to a “2-1” in the group standings, leaving the North American team at “0-3”.

Tomorrow Astralis will play against Team Vitality, who are yet to lose a map, while Bad News Bears will try and upset a struggling Team Spirit squad, who might very well be winless by the time those two face each other on Thursday.
