ENCE Esports sweep Astralis, still aim for playoffs at EPL S14

A much-needed win.

First unexpected result of the tournament.

Astralis looked to solidify their playoff spot at ESL Pro League Season 14, as a victory against ENCE Esports would all but guarantee that to be the case. Finnish organisation, however, needed that win as well after losing to Team Vitality yesterday.

Opting into an Ancient pick, ENCE got to an impressive start, as they picked up ten rounds on their attack before the switch. Astralis tried to go for the same trick as last night against CIS team, but their comeback attempt was stopped on its track, as ENCE secured first map, “16-9”.

Going to Nuke, the European mix got off to another great start, but Astralis managed to recover at the half time, going to their patented defence with only a one round deficit. ENCE Esports, however, did not allow the Danes to pick up straight rounds until it was already “14-8”, as they closed the set with a “16-11” victory for a much-needed “2-0”.

Tomorrow Astralis will face a winless Bad News Bears squad, while ENCE Esports are going to play against Team Spirit, who look to rebound later tonight against Heroic.
