Astralis sweep Fiend, to Ro4 at IEM Fall Europe

Third quarterfinal of the event.

While Ninjas in Pyjamas and Team Vitality have already advanced to the semifinals at IEM Fall Europe, Astralis and Fiend were scheduled to clash for the third spot in the final four. 

Starting on Nuke, the Danes managed to win nine rounds on their offensive side, switching with a three round lead. Adding up to start on the defence ended up enough as despite the Bulgarian team’s rally towards the end, Astralis secured the first map, “16-10”. Moving to Inferno, it was once again all about Astralis, as the favourites locked down the sites on their defence for the “11-4” score at halftime, before closing it out on the offence, “16-9”, “2-0”.

Astralis will now face the winner of the G2 Esports and ENCE Esports matchup in the semifinals, while Fiend still need to win only one series in the 5th-8th place bracket to qualify for PGL Major Stockholm 2021.
