The most remarkable episode of the tournament was the return of dev1ce to the professional scene. The sniper signed a contract with Astralis in October, but it was previously announced that he would return to the team only in 2023. Despite this, we will already see the debut of dev1ce for Astralis on December 4.

What Happened to Dev1ce?

The last time dev1ce took part in an official match was on December 5, 2021, in the IEM Winter 2021 playoffs. Then the sniper played for NIP. The player went inactive during the tournament and has just come out. We wrote more about the dev1ce drama in another article.

What Is Dev1ce Doing Now?

Dev1ce is gradually returning to form. The player plays Faceit matches almost every day and prepares to return. At the same time, it is worth saying he can get back in shape. The sniper almost always scores more than 1 KD and is often the team leader, even when they lose. Here is one of the clips from his games.

Can Astralis Beat Tricked?

The first opponent of dev1ce after his return will be the Tricked team. Not the most challenging opponent, but suitable for a debut after prolonged inactivity. The team performed poorly in the group stage, finishing with a 3-2 record. Astralis are the clear favourite in this confrontation. However, something can go wrong during the new team's debut, so the probability of victory is not 100%.

An interesting fact about the match is that dev1ce will meet with old Astralis sniper Philip Lucky Ewald, who left the team in the spring of this year.

The match will start on December 4 at 6:00 Moscow time. Pre-match statistics are available here.
