BLAST announced invites to the closed qualifiers for RMR for America
Tournament operator BLAST has announced eight teams for North and South America that have received direct invitations to the closed qualifiers for the American RMR ahead of the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023. The information appeared on the company's official Twitter account.
The following teams received direct invitations to the North American closed qualifier: Complexity Gaming, MIBR, paiN Gaming, Evil Geniuses, Nouns Esports, ATK, LOS + oNe and Vendetta. The remaining eight teams will be determined through open qualifiers.
A separate closed qualifier is also planned for South America. The direct invitations for the competition were issued to Fluxo, 00Nation, 9z Team, Imperial Esports, Sharks Esports, Corinthians Esports, Arctic eSports and O Plano. Another eight teams will go through open qualifiers.
FURIA Esports and Team Liquid have both qualified directly for the RMR tournament for America. The teams placed 3-4th and 9-11th respectively at the IEM Rio Major 2022. The American RMR will take place from April 5 to 9 in Monterrey, Mexico. Sixteen teams will compete for five slots at various stages of the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023.
The closed qualifiers for the RMR for America will be held online from February 17 to 19. Teams will compete for 14 spots in the RMR.
