Heroic, Dignias, Complexity advance at BLAST Premier Fall Showdown

Three favourites have advanced.

The beginning of the tournament.

BLAST Premier Fall Showdown, the 16-team event, would reward two winners with the spots at the BLAST Premier Fall Finals, which are going to be held in November in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Heroic, one of the favourites to take it all, would have liked to play on the home soil after PGL Major Stockholm, as they started their campaign against POGGERZ, a European-Middle East qualifier winners. Both Mirage and Nuke were more competitive than one could expect, but the Danes still prevailed with a clean “2-0” sweep, advancing to the second round. There Heroic will face another Scandinavian team, Dignitas, as the Swedish unit has eliminated Fiend from the tournament. The Bulgarian team has narrowly missed the Major in recent days and then lost consecutive maps on Mirage and Nuke to Dignitas, being left to play lesser events in the coming weeks and months. A rebuilt MIBR squad started with a “16-11” win on Ancient against Complexity Gaming, but the international mix fired back on Nuke, “16-12” and then closed the set on Overpass, “16-9”, keeping their hopes of qualifying for at least one big event this fall.

BLAST Premier Fall Showdown will continue tomorrow and in the coming days, as thirteen teams are still in contention.
