Cloud9 Announced an Academic Squad with Russian Players
Cybersports club Cloud9 presented the CS: GO academic team. The roster consists entirely of Russian players. Information about this appeared on the organization's Twitter.
The Cloud9 Academy was joined by esportsmen from Russia who had not previously competed in high-level championships. In addition, Ivan F_1N Kochugov became the coach of the team. He previously held the post of analyst of the organization's main roster.
In April 2022, C9 signed Gambit Esports. After the transition to the North American organization, the roster managed to win IEM Dallas 2022.
