Extra Salt, GODSENT advance to the DH Open 46 finals

A pair of the great series.

Only two teams could advance to the finals.

As the group stage has ended at DreamHack Open 46 North America, four squads entered the playoffs for the chance to move to the finals and take one step closer to the ESL Pro League Season 15 Conference slot.

In the Fragadelphia 15 finals rematch, paiN Gaming clashed with Extra Salt, as both favourites ended up facing each other already in the semifinals. Back and forth on Nuke, it was the Brazilian team which had a narrow “8-7” lead after their offensive half, but they could not keep on the defence, as Extra Salt started with a “16-11” win. Vertigo, however, turned out to be all about paiN Gaming, as they equalized the score at “16-9” but Ancient was not as close as during their last meeting, as Extra Salt finished the series in style, “16-10”, “2-1”. In the second semifinal, the Brazilian derby between GODSENT and Team oNe eSports started on Dust2, where the latter won both halves and the map, “16-11”. Nuke went down to the wire, as GODSENT narrowly escaped with a low economy buy in the round of regulation, “16-14” and then survived on Inferno with many close calls, “16-12”, “2-1”.

Extra Salt and GODSENT will clash in a best of five format tomorrow with the winner going to the ESL Pro League Season 15 Conference, while paiN Gaming and Team oNe eSports can go and prepare for the IEM Fall RMR, where both can still qualify for the PGL Major Stockholm 2021.
