Without a miracle this time - ENCE overcomes Rare Atom in the match for a spot in the EPL S17 playoffs
Rare Atom impressed everyone yesterday, but they couldn't repeat their success today.
Chinese club Rare Atom moved to the middle bracket of Group D of EPL Season 17 after losing to ENCE 0:2 in the second round of the upper bracket.
That same Overpass on which the Asian team destroyed Team Liquid yesterday went in completely the opposite way this time, as ENCE wiped the floor with Rare Atom, winning the first map 16:3. Things looked more promising for the Chinese on Nuke, but their attack on the second map was too weak, resulting in a 16:12 victory for the European team.
Nertz, who joined ENCE exactly a month ago, once again proves how valuable he has become for the Finnish club. This time he led in the number of entry frags (10), kill-death difference (42-26), and rating (7.4).
Who will be the next opponent for ENCE and Rare Atom?
In the middle bracket on March 17 at 20:30, Rare Atom will face the winner of the pair Astralis - NAVI, who are playing right now. As for ENCE, their match against FORZE for a spot in the EPL S17 quarterfinals will take place on March 19 at 17:00.
EPL S17 is taking place from February 22 to March 26 in Malta. The teams are playing for a prize pool of $850,000. The schedule and results of the championship can be followed on the tournament page.
