FaZe eliminate Gambit from IEM Katowice

The second quarterfinal of the playoff at IEM Katowice has ended, and another team have been eliminated.

Gambit faced FaZe in the second quarterfinal of the event. FaZe were playing Justin "⁠jks⁠" Savage, as Håvard "⁠rain⁠" Nygaard wasn’t allowed to compete due to his positive COVID-19 test.

Gambit picked Dust 2 but weren’t competitive on that map. FaZe seized an early advantage on the CT side from the beginning of the first half. The CIS team tried to stop the European mix, but their attempts were not successful. The first half ended with a score of 10-5. Gambit weren’t able to come back, and FaZe finished the game 16-5.

FaZe decided to play Inferno, and it was a much more difficult game for them. Gambit won comfortable 8 rounds on the CT side. However, after the sides switched, FaZe didn’t give a chance to the CIS team, winning the map 16-11.

FaZe enter the semifinal to face Heroic, while Gambit leave the event taking 5-6th.
