FaZe through to semifinals of PGL Major Antwerp 2022

PGL Major Antwerp 2022 Champions Stage has started, and the first match has already come to an end.

In the first quarterfinals of the major, NIP faced FaZe. FaZe were clear favorites, but NIP also looked confident in the Legends Stage.

The match started with Nuke, picked by FaZe. NIP showed a fairly confident performance on the CT side, winning 9 rounds in the first half. However, after the sides switched, the Swedish team collapsed and lost the map 16-10. On Overpass, the first half was close, but FaZe still managed to win 8-7. In the second half, NIP looked a bit more confident and finished the game 16-8. On the decider, the Swedish team won 8 rounds on the CT side, but failed after the sides switched. FaZe didn't give any chance to the opponents and finished the map 16-8. The best player of the match was ropz with a 6.6 rating.

FaZe advance to the semifinals, where they will face the winner of the Spirit vs FURIA standoff, and NIP leave the tournament, taking the 5th-8th place.
