Four French Teams Eliminated In the 1/64 Open Qualification For the Paris Major

French teams disappointed fans.

Four French teams were eliminated in 1/64 of the first open qualification for the European RMR.

HEET, LDLC OL, Nakama, and GenOne were eliminated in the 1/64 open qualifier at RMR. After this round, not a single French team remained in the qualification. Therefore, the Paris major may remain without French mono-national teams.

What teams did the French teams lose to?

The strongest French club is still HEET. Even though the organization's structure began to fall apart at the beginning of the season, the club is a leader on the French scene. In 1/64, the team met with Turow Zgorzelec and lost to it with a score of 16-14. Polish Mix will meet with Into the Breach today.

In addition to HEET, Ryshar shox Papiyon's team will participate in the qualifiers. The team also reached 1/64, but the French met Forward Gaming in this round and were defeated. The match ended with a score of 16-5. With this form, Nakama will have few chances in the second qualification.

LDLC OL met Benched Heroes in 1/64. Benched Heroes is a new mix by Owen Smooya Butterfield and Evgeny Aunkere Karyat. This roster is a very dangerous opponent, especially in the early stages of the qualifications. And LDLC OL experienced the power of the mix, losing the match 16-9.

GenOne is far from the strongest French team, but this Major is as important to it as it is to everyone else. In 1/64, GenOne fought against the Belgian team allStars Gaming and lost with a score of 16-11.

The state of the French scene before the Paris Major

At the beginning of the year, a major reshuffle took place on the French scene on the eve of the Paris Major qualifiers. Then there was hope that the scene would receive at least one top team, but so far, it has not been justified.

Two of the four relegated teams made changes before the season, and one of them was explicitly created for the qualifiers. It was difficult for HEET to expect something because the changes in this team were a forced measure due to financial problems. But LDLC and Nakama were the main hopes of the French scene at the qualifiers. But they will have one more chance. In addition, there is another team in France.

Falcons received a direct invite to the closed qualification, so at least one French team will compete for a slot at RMR.

When will the second open qualification be held?

The second European open qualification at RMR will start today. As part of it, French teams will get a second chance.
