FURIA shock Astralis in the opening round of group B

The matches of group B at IEM Katowice have started, and the first match ended with a surprising result.

Astralis faced FURIA in the opening round of group B. Previously, the Danish team completed Play-In without defeats.

Astralis picked Overpass. However, there were FURIA who took an early in the first half. After the sides switched, the game became more competitive, but Astralis weren’t able to come back. FURIA finished the map 16-12.

FURIA chose Mirage, and the second map started just like the first. The Brazilian team started the game by winning five rounds in a row, and the first half was finished 9-6. FURIA only needed to finish the game quickly. And they managed to do it, winning the match 2-0.

FURIA advance to the upper semifinals of group B, while Astralis fall to the lower bracket.
