G2 became the first team to advance to the playoffs of EPL Season 17

The middle bracket final of Group A at ESL Pro League Season 17 between G2 and Fnatic ended in favor of HooXi's team. However, Fnatic won one Nuke, the one where G2 had a winning streak of 16 maps. And not just won, but crushed them 16:4. However, Fnatic lost the first and third maps, Vertigo and Inferno, with scores of 8:16 and 9:16 respectively.

Almost all of the G2 players played worse than their usual form, and the MVP of this bo3 went to nicoodoz from Fnatic with a rating of 7.2 and a statistic of 56-42. NiKo holds the absolute number of frags (60) for this game.

In the lower bracket, Eternal Fire defeated MIBR (Anubis 16:10, Vertigo 16:11) without any difficulty. The Brazilians left the tournament, while EF headed to prepare for the lower bracket final scheduled for February 26 at 20:30.

XANTARES, by a small margin, was named the best player of the match over insani from MIBR. xfl0ud deserves special mention with two quad kills.

The schedule for the deciding matches in Group A

The game day will begin with a bo3 between Fnatic and IHC in the lower bracket semifinals at 13:30. Next up is the match between Outsiders and Cloud9 in the upper bracket final. The winner will advance directly to the quarterfinals of EPL Season 17, while the loser will enter the round of 12.

Group A will conclude with a match between Eternal Fire and Fnatic/IHC at 20:30 for a spot in the Round of 16.
