G2 destroy Liquid in the lower bracket of group B

The day at IEM Katowice begins with a very quick match in the lower bracket of group B.

Liquid faced G2 in the opening round of the lower bracket. Both teams lost their first clashes.

Liquid picked Vertigo. And the map started with a poor attack from the American team. Liquid managed to win only five rounds in the first half. However, in the second half, the situation was even worse. G2 were dominating, and Liquid weren’t able to stop the European mix, losing the map 16-8.

G2 picked Mirage and finished it quickly. The domination on the T side was irresistible, and the second half wasn’t better. G2 finished the map with a score of 16-5.

G2 advance to the next round of the lower bracket, while Liquid leave the tournament without victories.
