Gambit beat Liquid, continue to shine

The first upper semifinal of Blast Premier World Final 2021 has been finished and the first upper finalist has been decided. Gambit managed to beat Liquid to take the spot in the upper final.

The first map was picked by Liquid and this Inferno was the closest map of the match. The American team won the first half but Gambit showed a better T side and won the first map with a score of 16-14.

Vertigo was picked by Gambit and they were expected to easily win it. The CIS team had taken 8 rounds in the first half and started to dominate on the CT side. However, Liquid managed to come back at the end of their T side winning the map with a score of 16-13.

The decider was a disaster for Liquid. Gambit seized the early advantage and didn’t lose throughout the map. The map was finished incredibly fast and the CIS team showed their domination taking the map with a score of 16-2.

Liquid fall to the lower bracket where they will face Astralis while Gambit are waiting for the winner of the Vitality vs G2 clash.
