Gambit enter playoff knocking NIP out from IEM Katowice

The matches of group A at IEM Katowice have come to a close, and another team have been eliminated.

Gambit encountered NIP in the lower final of group A.

NIP picked Ancient and lost control in the first half. Gambit chose to start on the T side, and the Swedish team didn’t expect that. However, they managed to win seven rounds in the first half. But it was not enough. CIS team dominated the second half finishing the first map 16-10.

Gambit decided to play Vertigo and won a comfortable amount of rounds on the T side. The CIS team didn’t hesitate after the sides switched. NIP couldn’t stop them and lost the last map of group A 16-12.

Gambit advance to the quarterfinal of the main event, while NIP leave the tournament missing the opportunity to play in Spodek Arena.
