According to the portal pley.gg, which got access to the letter addressed to Heroic investors, the organization needs NOK 80 million to function until the end of 2025. At the same time, 10 million are needed before the beginning of summer 2023.
Eighty million Norwegian kroner is approximately equal to $7.5 million. And this is a significant amount that investors may not give. At the same time, the company needs to collect about a million in less than three months. Will investors help the organization?
How did the need for funds affect the organization?
At first glance, you can't say that Heroic has financial problems, but if you look more closely at the club's structure, you can see that this has already affected it.
At the beginning of February, Heroic abandoned the PUBG team, which had performed under the organization's tag for about two years. In the comment about leaving the discipline, the club reported that Heroic is unstable in performing in the PUBG discipline. If the organization has already refused membership, the financial problems are much more significant than you might think.
What does this mean for the CS:GO lineup?
The CS:GO lineup is Heroic's primary asset at the moment. This can be understood by the level of performance. Because now Heroic is one of the main tags of Counter-Strike, which is definitely in the top 2 of the world. And the organization wants to retain the roster, so it is asking for such finances.
But what will happen if Heroic suddenly goes bankrupt? In this case, players should not worry too much. Many organizations will want to get a team with the potential to become the best team in the world. This, among other things, can save the organization if investors do not start giving funds.
