Heroic shock Vitality in the upper semifinal of IEM Katowice

The first match of the upper semifinal in group A at IEM Katowice and the first finalist has been decided.

Heroic faced Vitality after their maiden win against OG. Previously, Vitality overcame MOUZ in the opening round of group A.

Heroic picked Mirage. Vitality took a comfortable amount of rounds on the CT side, but it was not enough to win the map. Heroic did way better in defense and won the map 16-12.

Vitality decided to play Inferno. Both halves were equal, and the fate of the teams had to be decided over overtime. The first overtime series didn’t decide the winner as both teams won 3 rounds. However, in the second series, Heroic didn’t allow Vitality to win a single round finishing the map 22-18, and winning the match.

Heroic enter the group final and secure the spot in the playoff, while Vitality fall to the lower bracket to face the winner of the CPH Flames vs Gambit standoff.
