HooXi's Father Passed Away On the Eve Of BLAST Premier World Final 2022

The captain of G2 learned the sad news after arriving in Abu Dhabi.

Rasmus HooXi Nielsen announced that his father died on the eve of the BLAST Premier World Final 2022.

On his Twitter, the player wrote:

Yesterday evening, after I arrived in Abu Dhabi, I learned that my father had passed away. It was very unexpected because there was nothing unusual when I told him goodbye while leaving for the airport. I don't feel the need to share information about our relationship other than the fact that I loved him. The only reason I'm writing about this is so that people at the event know why I won't be so engrossed and behave differently than usual.

Also, the player said he decided to participate in the tournament after consulting with his family.

I decided to stay and play in the tournament because that's what my family settled, and I hope this will help me to relax.

HooXi concluded his message as follows:

I appreciate your support, and don't forget to hug your loved ones the next time you see them.

How Will the Loss Affect the Captain's Game?

Obviously, HooXi will perform worse than usual at the BLAST Premier World Final 2022. Negative thoughts will distract him from the game. Therefore, the captain of G2 must be supported by teammates and other teams, as the situation is incredibly difficult for the player.

Will he be able to distract and show a high level of performance? We will find out tomorrow.
