"I really want to win trophies" - s1mple

In a new interview of GG.BET, Natus Vincere sniper Oleksandr s1mple Kostyliev reflected on various topics and also added a few words about the team, how ready the team is for Blast.tv Major 2023, and more.

James Banks Banks asked first:

You just finished the RMR and you look very strong. How did it go for you? Do you feel like everything is working as it should in the team?

To which the analyst received the following answer from Alexander:

Yes, we feel much more confident as a team, and we played about 90%, 95% clean, you know? Yeah, yeah. We won a lot of rounds. When we had an advantage, we easily closed it. So I think we now have a fundamental difference between these NAVI and NAVI 2 or 3 months ago.

Banks' next question was about the team's rookie, npl:

Let's talk about npl, because he had a crazy individual tournament, right? But we saw when you sat next to him before, you talked to him a lot, gave feedback, helped. Did you always believe in him?

To which s1mple gave a straightforward answer:

Well, yes, of course, because he's so young and you never know what his peak will be. But I think the main reason he started playing better wasn't because of our experience and help, but, as he himself said, when he finally started to understand how B1ad3 and electronic understand the game, it became easier for him on the server.

Then Banks asked if s1mple knew why NAVI had already put npl in other positions. To which s1mple replied:

I think he just feels more confident in other positions, you know. And, as you said, it comes with time, because it's so bad and sad to lose. But you understand that you just have to get through these three months. And your team will start playing much better. Some teams don't wait for these three months. Sometimes it's six months, and they make changes and come back to where they started.

Banks then asked Oleksandr if the world would be able to see that "old" s1mple. To which the Ukrainian replied:

I think in our game it's possible. But I'm looking forward to the new game, because when something new appears, for example, even with Valorant, when they gave me the beta version and I played ranked matches, it was always interesting for me to learn more details. And in CS2, there will be much more interesting things.

Lastly, James said:

You're used to winning. You're the best player in the world. You've raised so many trophies. How much do you want to raise another trophy, man?

To which s1mple replied:

Yes, I really want to. After all, the last time was in Lisbon. And of course, it's unpleasant when some time passes without a win.

It's worth noting that the next tournament for NAVI will be the final major in CS:GO - the BLAST.tv Major, which will start on May 8th!
