IEM Katowice 2022 group stage begins today

IEM Katowice Play-In has come to a close, eight contenders joined eight pre-invited teams, and today the matches of the group stage are going to begin.

The Play-In stage was intense, and it gave us eight teams, who will be battling against the best teams, who were directly invited to the main stage. Teams who completed Play-In: OG, Astralis, Copenhagen Flames, FaZe, NIP, MOUZ, fnatic, ENCE.

The other eight contenders have been directly invited based on their previous results at the ESL tournaments. These teams are NaVi, Gambit, G2, Vitality, Virtus.pro, FURIA, Heroic, Liquid.

The teams were split into two groups. Group A: Heroic, MOUZ, VIrtus.pro, Gambit, Vitality, NIP, CPH Flames, OG. Group B: FURIA, NaVi, Liquid, G2, Astralis, FaZe, fnatic, ENCE.

Group A starts first, and there are four matches to be held. Today’s group A clashes: Heroic vs OG, Virtus.pro vs CPH Flames, Vitality vs MOUZ, Gambit vs NIP. Also, there are two more matches to happen. Today’s group B standoffs: FURIA vs Astralis, Liquid vs FaZe.
