Liquid shock Heroic and proceed to quarterfinals

The second day of the playoff at ESL Pro League has come to a close, and the last match of the day ended with an unpredictable result.

Liquid faced Heroic. Heroic shined in the group stage, losing only to NaVi, while Liquid showed a modest result.

The match started with Ancient picked by Liquid. Heroic dominated on the CT side, reaching 9-6. However, Liquid gained focus after the sides switched and made an outstanding comeback getting ten rounds in a row and winning the map 16-9.

Heroic chose Vertigo and collapsed on their pick. The American team gained confidence after the victory on the first map and won 11 rounds on the CT side. In the second half, Heroic tried to fight back but didn’t manage to finish the comeback 16-10.

Liquid advance to the quarterfinal to face NIP, while Heroic unexpectedly leave the event, taking 9-12th.
