Astralis, GODSENT fall to "0-2" in Stockholm

Not the expected outcome.

The beginning of the second round.

With the first set of the games in the first stage of PGL Major Stockholm 2021 being over, it was time for another slate of best of ones to determine the series matchups for tomorrow.

Astralis, who got crushed on Overpass by Copenhagen Flames in the opening game, decided to leave it to Entropiq to choose the map for their meeting. The CIS team, however, turned down the option of going to Overpass and chose Dust2 before taking a five round lead at halftime. There was no comeback in store for the Danish unit either, as Entropiq dropped only one more round before the end of the game, winning it “16-6” and dropping the reigning champions to “0-2” and the brink of elimination.

GODSENT chose Nuke over Overpass to go against Team Spirit but it was the CIS team to lead “10-5” at the switch. The Brazilian mix nearly brought it back, as they were “10-11” down, but a key low economy win by Team Spirit allowed them to run away with the map, “16-12”, improving to a “1-1” on the day.

With Astralis and GODSENT being one match away from the elimination, Team Spirit and Entropiq will still play best of ones tomorrow to find out their opponents in the best of three sets at the Swedish event.
