Gambit, Entropiq move past their opponents, enter the "1-0" bracket

The opening day of the second round.

With the second stage coming in full force at PGL Major Stockholm 2021, it was time to watch four more teams clash in a pair of the scheduled games.

Choosing between Ancient and Overpass, Gambit Esports, unsurprisingly decided to choose the latter, as ENCE Esports took a “3-1” lead early into the game. The CIS team, however, never allowed the Finnish organization to build any sizeable economy lead, as they ran away with a three round lead on their offence to halftime. Switching to the defence, Gambit Esports never let the game slip away, losing only one round in the process before winning their opener in Sweden, “16-7”.

A solid start by Team Liquid on Vertigo got halted by a force buy win for Entropiq, as it allowed the CIS squad to switch to its defence with a “9-6” score. Tying the game at “9-9” was all Team Liquid managed to achieve, as a yet another North American team fell flat in the second half today with Entropiq securing the “16-9” victory for a much needed best of one win.

Half way through the first round, things will heat up very soon in Stockholm, as the best of one map sets will keep coming tonight and tomorrow.
