MaLeK leaves G2

G2 officially announced that team part ways with their coach. Damian “maLeK” Marcel has been working with G2 since November 2018. His coaching can’t be called unsuccessful, although the French team hasn’t achieved any Big Events trophies with maLeK. Despite this G2 has played in four Grand finals, including PGL Major Stockholm 2021.

The decision to kick maLeK was made by players and organization. Removal of Damian “maLeK” Marcel was planned before the Major, but players decided that they want to play the last tournament with their coach and the result was outstanding. 

According to the rumors French coach will be replaced with Luka “emi” Vuković, who has already trained all three of non-French players from the G2 roster. Also, insiders noted that G2 are thinking about changing one or two players for 2022.
