MOUZ reaches the championship final for the first time in 2 years

Today, the MOUZ team reached the final of IEM Dallas 2023 by defeating the Heroic team in the championship semifinals.

How was the game against Heroic?

A total of 3 maps were played. The first one was Vertigo, which was Mousesports' pick, and they successfully won it with a score of 16:8.

Then, Heroic regrouped and managed to win their Overpass with a score of 16:9!

The decider map was Ancient, and the winner was determined only after 30 rounds. MOUZ successfully closed out their opponents with a score of 16:14, securing their place in the final!

Why is this victory very important for MOUZ?

The last time MOUZ reached the final of a major championship was during Flashpoint Season 3. In that final, they faced Ninjas in Pyjamas and defeated them with a score of 2:1.

Some interesting facts about the MOUZ team:

• xertioN, torzsi, and JDC have joined the list of former academy players who have made it to the final of a major tournament. 
• Tomorrow, xertioN, torzsi, and JDC could win their first major tournament in their careers. 
• Since Flashpoint Season 3, only dexter and frozen remain from the previous lineup.

What was happening when MOUZ won Flashpoint Season 3:

• GuardiaN was playing for NAVI, and they were losing to everyone. 
• Evil Geniuses were still at the top.
