Movistar Riders and Grayhound advance to the playoffs of ESL Challenger Melbourne 2023

The first two teams to make it to the ESL Challenger Melbourne 2023 playoffs are Grayhound and Movistar Riders, who finished first in their respective groups.

Both teams won just two bo1 matches to advance to the next stage. Grayhound defeated EG Black (16:10) and Complexity (16:11) on their path to the playoffs, while Movistar Riders beat VERTEX from Australia (16:10) and Bad News Eagles from Kosovo (16:11) in Group B.

Elimination matches

Unlike other matches, deciders and elimination matches are played in a bo3 format. Two pairs of teams have already been determined to compete for survival in the tournament: VERTEX - Rare Atom (already live) and ECSTATIC - EG Black (April 29 at 3:00).

ESL Challenger Melbourne 2023 takes place in the Australian city of Melbourne at the Rod Laver Arena from April 28 to April 30. The prize pool for the tournament is $100,000. The team that finishes in first place will not only receive $50,000 but also a slot in the ESL Pro League Season 18.
