NAVI won their first match in the EPL S17 playoffs, while Liquid were eliminated from the tournament

NAVI and PaiN emerged as winners in today's 1/16 finals matches in the playoffs of ESL Pro League Season 17. Meanwhile, Liquid and 00NATION, along with Movistar Riders and Fnatic, shared 13th-16th place.

PaiN proved to skeptics that they deserved their place in the playoffs, and it didn't matter that they played half of their group stage matches against the Australians Rooster and Grayhound. The Brazilians managed to defeat Liquid on their signature map Mirage, on which YEKINDAR only got 7 kills.

The MVP of this matchup was awarded to skullz, whose efforts, especially in entry, brought victory on the second map (Ancient).

NAVI, in their usual style, made things difficult for themselves, even though they were the clear favorites. Although 00NATION was considered an easy opponent, they caused problems for NAVI on Ancient and almost won it, before confidently winning on Overpass, but they couldn't find their game on Mirage.

This time, b1t (57-45) led NAVI in kills-to-deaths ratio, with electroNic also getting 11 entries. The Ukrainian player also won two 1v2 clutch situations.
