NiP, FURIA close Day 1 on high note

Last two games of the second round.

With the second round being nearly complete at PGL Major Stockholm 2021, it was time to finalize the setup for tomorrow, as the Legends stage will continue later this week.

Ninjas in Pyjamas and Astralis clashed in what was supposed to be a blockbuster of a game on Inferno, but the Scandinavian mix absolutely demolished the reigning Major winners. The only round Astralis managed to win was a “Lucky” “1v3” clutch, but everything else was about NiP, who improved to a “2-0” with a “16-1” victory.

MOUZ started with a pistol round win on Inferno against FURIA Esports, but the last Brazilian team at the event still roared back to win the half by three. After the break it did not get any better for MOUZ, despite a one more pistol victory, as FURIA Esports ran away with the map, “16-9”, winning their first game in Sweden.

With the event continuing tomorrow with a third round, it is time to hit the pause button at the sixteenth Major.
