NiP reverse sweep G2, to BLAST Fall Finals

Great victory for the Scandinavian team.

A massive victory.

Starting the second day of group B at BLAST Premier Fall, Ninjas in Pyjamas and G2 Esports clashed for the chance to book themselves a spot at the Fall Finals instead of trying their hardest during the next day.

Starting on the NiP’s pick of Ancient, G2 Esports quickly ran away with the map, jumping to a “9-0” lead on the defence out of the gate. The Scandinavian team managed to reduce the deficit to five before the switch, but a clutch deagle eco victory by the European mix pushed their offence over the top, “16-7”. Going to Mirage, things looked grim for NiP once again, as G2 opened with a “7-2” lead, but then they turned out to win six in a row to take the narrow lead into half time. Teams traded blows in the beginning of the second half, as G2 looked to close the set after a “13-10”, but a solid run for Ninjas in Pyjamas forced a decider, “16-14”. A dejected G2 squad did not look par on Inferno, however, as NiP posted another “11-4” half and then finished the game at “16-9” with “device” leading the charge.

G2 Esports will now play the winner of the MIBR-BIG match, while Ninjas in Pyjamas are going to play for the first place in the group.
