NiP eliminate mouz, to face OG in EPL Ro8

The beginning of the playoffs

After a day of break, it was the time to resume ESL Pro League Season 14 with the Round of 12, as Ninjas in Pyjamas faced off against mousesports yet again. At Flashpoint 3 mouz were better and won the trophy, NiP got an upper hand at IEM Cologne 2021 play-in stage, so their third match in span of few months could settle that debate.

Back to the Scandinavian team’s choice of Ancient, teams went back and forth in the first half with mouz coming out with a narrow lead. NiP, however, after switching to defence, did the same to mousesports as what they have done against FURIA Esports and Gambit Esports, shutting down offence and taking the map, “16-12”. Going to Vertigo, it was a completely different story, however, as mousesports’s offensive power ravaged NiP’s defensive assignments, running away with a “16-6” equalizer. The European mix led at the break on Inferno as well, but a water tight defence by Ninjas in Pyjamas swept the second half for an overall “16-8” and a “2-1” series win.

Now mousesports are going to prepare for the IEM Fall, to solidify their spot at the PGL Major Stockholm, while Ninjas in Pyjamas will face off against OG in the EPL quarterfinals.
