OG, G2 to BLAST Premier Fall Showdown quarterfinals

Five down, three to go.

The second day of the event.

As Heroic, Dignitas and Complexity Gaming advanced to the second round of BLAST Premier Fall Showdown, it was time for the first round to continue on Day 2 of the qualifying event.

OG Esports, who are going to watch PGL Major Stockholm from home, would like to make it to the BLAST Premier Fall Finals event, as they went against paiN Gaming to start the event. A back and forth Ancient ended up going the way of the European mix, “16-13” before OG ran through Inferno to close the series against the Brazilian team, “16-6”, “2-0”. G2 Esports looked in control against a Chinese side, Lynn Vision in the first half of Vertigo, but could not keep up in the second, surprisingly dropping a map, “14-16”. The crisis was, however, averted, as both Inferno and Nuke went the way of the European squad, “16-10” and “16-8” for the “2-1” reverse sweep.

With five teams already through the first round of BLAST Premier Fall Showdown, eleven squads still remain in contention for two spots at BLAST Premier Fall Finals in Copenhagen, Denmark.
