OG eliminate NiP, to the EPL S14 Ro4

A comeback to snatch the semifinals spot.

OG, who swept group B to advance to the quarterfinals of the ESL Pro League Season 14, faced off against Ninjas in Pyjamas, as the Scandinavians took out mousesports in the previous round of playoffs.

Despite OG’s solid start to Overpass, NiP managed to reduce the deficit to one round at the half and then took the lead at “12-8”. The European team did not get deterred by that and pushed to obtain two map points at “15-13”, but two unlikely round wins gave Ninjas in Pyjamas a lifeline and a “19-15 victory in the overtime. Mirage looked to be going the same way, as NiP had a narrow lead at the break and then jumped to a “11-7” lead, before OG found an eco win and snowballed it into the equalizer, “16-12”. Dust2, however, has not delivered at all, as reinvigorated OG locked NiP out of the sites, jumped to a seven round lead at the halftime and quickly closed the game out, 16-4”, “2-1”.

Now Ninjas in Pyjamas will prepare for the BLAST Premier Fall Group Stage, while OG are going to face a winner of the Gambit Esports-Team Vitality clash in the EPL semifinals.
