Outsiders Will Not Perform Under the Virtus.pro Tag At BLAST Premier: World Final 2022

Virtus.pro players have to perform under the Outsiders tag and without references to their organization and sponsors since the full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine. As reported by the Dexerto portal, things will stay the same during BLAST Premier: World Final 2022.

On November 28, VP posted on their Instagram account about BLAST Premier: World Final 2022, which featured their logo instead of the Outsiders' logo on the list of participants. The journalists contacted the tournament operator and got information that the esports athletes would perform under the tag Outsiders.

Earlier it became known that Armenian businessman Aram Karamanukyan became the new owner of Virtus.pro. Almost immediately after this, Dota 2 players were allowed to perform at The International 2022 under the club tag. However, despite this Valve's decision, other competition organizers did not support this initiative.

On September 22, ESL and BLAST announced that they would study a change of management at Virtus.pro. At the time of publication, none of the competition organizers made any statements about this. Still, they are inclined to leave the ban in place, despite comments from the VP that they are no longer associated with ESforce, a company that allegedly has ties to the Russian government.
