PGL Asia RMR Day 1: first team eliminated

The first day of PGL Major Antwerp 2022 Asia RMR has come to a close, and the first team have left the event.

There are four teams taking part in the Asian RMR event. These squads are Renegades, IHC, TYLOO, and LookingForOrg. Three standoffs ended on the first day.

Firstly, TYLOO faced IHC in a close standoff. IHC dominated in the first half of their pick. The team got ten rounds on the CT side. After the sides switched, TYLOO showed resistance but didn’t manage to finish the game, losing the map 16-13. The second map ended with the overtime. However, IHC still managed to win the map 19-16, advancing to the upper final.

The second standoff of the day was Renegades vs LookingForOrg. Renegades looked stronger and started Nuke with the domination. And they used this advantage to win the map 16-13. On the second map, Renegades destroyed their opponents, finishing the game 16-8 and knocking LookingForOrg down to the lower bracket.

In the last standoff of the day, TYLOO faced LookingForOrg. LookingForOrg picked Dust 2, and it was a competitive map. TYLOO seized an early advantage, but the Australian team fought back in the second half of the game. However, TYLOO managed to get the win 16-14. The second wasn’t as competitive. The Chinese team took control of the game in the second half and didn’t hesitate to win the map 16-8.

IHC will face Renegades in the upper final, fighting for the spot, and TYLOO will encounter the loser of this standoff. LookingForOrg leave the event.
