Pinnacle Cup Championship playoffs: Day 1 results

The Pinnacle Cup Championship playoffs have started, and after the first day there are three teams left in the tournament.

In the lower bracket, Heroic faced Finest in a match for the survival. Heroic were clear favorites and proved it on the first map, winning it 16-8. However, Finest were able to return to the game on Vertigo, destroying the Danish team 16-7. On the decider, Heroic didn't give their opponents a chance, finishing the game 16-4.

Thus, Heroic advance to the final of the lower bracket, and Finest leave the event.

In the upper bracket of the playoffs, Astralis faced BIG. On the first map, the Danish team showed its superiority, finishing the game 16-7. The second map was more competitive, but BIG still couldn't win.

Today, BIG will face Heroic in the lower bracket of the playoffs, and Astralis will compete for the championship with the winner of this match.
