IT’S ALIVE: 9INE extended the contracts with the current lineup

Today, the 9INE organization announced on its LinkedIn page that the Swedish organization is extending the contract with the current team until at least 2024. Their main goal will be PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024.

Here is what the owners of 9INE said:

As the CS:GO era draws to an end, marked by the recent completion of the Paris Major, the esports world is anxiously awaiting the upcoming release of Counter-Strike 2. With the next major tournament announced for March 2024 on CS2, 9INE is ready to accept this new challenge.
We are happy to announce the re-signing of our Polish squad with a clear primary goal: to qualify for the first Major in CS2. This team made history, becoming the first all-Polish team to qualify for a Major in half a decade. With their sights set on the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024, they are poised to qualify for two back-to-back Majors.

Over the past few months, the passionate community support has fueled 9INE and our players, leading to the exponential growth of our fan base and the awakening of the Polish CS community inspired by 9INE's recent successes. Moving forward, we look forward to participating in many high-class competitions in 2023 and, together with our sponsors, creating exciting content that brings fans closer to the action on the server and the team and players.

At the moment, only Polish players play in the 9INE team, and the roster looks like this:

The last performance of the team

Finally, the main factor in extending the contracts with the players was the team's excellent performance at the last CS:GO Major: Major Paris 2023, where the team took 15-16th place.

Yes, the 15-16th place could sound better, but why did the organization want to extend the players' contracts?

And everything here is simple. Everything lies in the very path of the team to the main part of the Major. After all, to begin with, the team went through the BLAST Paris Major 2023: European RMR B qualifiers tournament, which they successfully won. In their last match at RMR, the Poles beat Team Vitality, who won the Major Paris 2023!

Unfortunately, after going straight to the Legends Stag from first place, passing the Challenger Stage, the team ultimately failed its performance. It was eliminated with a score of 0:3. Lost dearly to such teams as Team Liquid, GamerLegion, and FaZe Clan.

Also, earlier, the team took 3rd-4th place at Brazy Party 2023, where they went through Imperial, Sprout, and ITB.

The next tournament for the 9INE team will be the CCT Online Finals Season 1 2023, from May 23 to 30. A record for the CCT amount of $200,000 will be up for grabs at the championship. The Poles will play their first match against the Brazilians from the Sharks tomorrow at 8:30 PM.
