Refrezh Explained Why He Left the Post of Sprout's Captain

Sprout's player Ismail refrezh Ali commented on the changes in the post of team captain. The Danish athlete shared the information on TwitLonger.

On February 7, the Sprout eSports club announced changes to the CS:GO lineup. Rasmus Zyphon Nordfoss was transferred to the reserve, and refrezh was released from the role of in-game leader. Mikkel Maze Sparvath became Sprout's new player and captain. You can read more about it here.

If you've seen my interviews or spoken to me in person, you probably know that I stutter. I've stuttered my entire life, and it has been much, much worse than it is today. I've spent many hours working on it with speech therapists and performance/mental coaches, and while it's gotten much better compared to when I was younger, it was still an issue for me, when I was the IGL.
It's probably pretty self-explanatory that stuttering gets much worse when you have to speak fast, coordinate and micro manage etc. I did enjoy being an IGL and I do think I have the abilities to become much better over time, but unfortunately my stuttering prevents me from being as good as I want to be.

Previously, the updated Sprout roster failed the closed qualification at IEM Brazil 2023 for Europe. The Danish team first lost to 9INE in the qualifiers' upper bracket, then was unable to cope with BIG in the lower bracket.
