Renegades take down Looking for Org, qualify for PGL Major Stockholm

Second team at the Major.

The goal is achieved.

Renegades needed one more win against Looking for Org, the same team they have faced during the DreamHack Open 46 Oceania few days ago, and that would be enough to punch their tickets to PGL Major Stockholm 2021.

Ex-Dire Wolves, however, did not want to gift everything on a silver plate, as they nearly shut out Renegades of their favourite Nuke, winning both halves for “16-6”. The favourite, however, fired back on Vertigo, equalizing the score in style with a “12-3” score at the half and a “16-4” overall before moving to Dust2. A pair of clutches and a solid half allowed Renegades to jump to a “11-4” lead before switching to their offence, as Looking for Org’s defence crumbled for a “16-4” finish, and a “2-1” series victory in favour of Renegades.

Looking for Org will now face ORDER in the consolidation final of the IEM Fall Oceania, while Renegades, even if they lose their first domestic title since adopting the tag, are going to represent Oceania in Sweden at PGL Major Stockholm 2021, becoming the second team in the world to take a slot at the prestigious event.
