Rumor: BLAST And Perfect World Bid to Host Majors in 2023

About a week ago, Chad spunj Burchill talked about BLAST and Perfect World being interested in hosting majors in 2023. Today the jaxon.gg portal shared identical information.

Sources at jaxon.gg report that BLAST and Perfect World have applied to host the majors. According to spunj, the first major will go to BLAST, while Perfect World will take on the season's second major.

Previously, BLAST did not participate in the organization of Valve events. The tournament operator even refused to hold them. However, in July 2022, the organization's management expressed interest in maintaining a major. Before this, BLAST had LAN tournaments for no more than eight teams.

Perfect World is a Chinese company that worked with Valve on Dota 2 tournaments. The Chinese operator also hosted CS: GO leagues and qualifiers for the Asian region. Therefore, China may become the venue for the second major in 2023.
