Currently, Virtus.pro players compete under the neutral Outsiders tag. It will be so at future ESL events and PGL Major Antwerp 2022. However, not every TO allow teams with connections to the Russian government to participate in their events. Blast banned Gambit and Virtus.pro from their tournaments and will not invite them in the foreseeable future.

One more problem with YEKINDAR is his citizenship. Rifler is a citizen of Latvia, which is situated in Europe, and that is one of the main reasons for critique. However, it is not the only problem. Virtus.pro are based in Russia, and with difficulties with traveling, the Latvian might have issues with bootcamp and training with the team.

Leaving Virtus.pro might be beneficial for YEKINDAR. With his proficiency in English and Russian he will be able to join every team on the tier-1 scene as the rifler is showing high-level performance.
