Heroic, VP secure their second wins in Stockholm

The end to a great day of CS:GO.

The last results of the first day.

With the second round at the first Swiss stage at PGL Major Stockholm 2021, it was the time to finalize the brackets after the opening day of the biggest event of the year.

With MOUZ opting to remove Ancient, Heroic started strong on their signature defence on Nuke, not letting their opponents to win consecutive rounds until the end of the half and switching with a five round lead. MOUZ looked to get back into the game with a second pistol round win, but Heroic’s offence exploded in the following round with a low economy buy, hitting match points and closing out the map shortly after, “16-11”.

Movistar Riders looked to do the same against Virtus.pro, as they opted for Vertigo over Inferno and then led “10-3” in the first half. The CIS mix managed to win last two rounds of the half before running rampant after a break on their offence. The Spanish team won only two rounds on the defence, unable to stop VP, who took the map, “16-12”, improving to “2-0” on the day.

With four teams being one win away from advancing, four being on a brink of elimination and the other eight standing at “1-1” after the opening day, the Swedish event is off to an exciting start.
