Smooya became free agent

Not long ago, fnatic benched Owen "⁠smooya⁠" Butterfield was benched by fnatic after the dissatisfying result at IEM Katowice 2022. Today player entered free agency.

Smooya officially announced that his contract with fnatic was terminated, and he is currently a free agent. British player spent four months with fnatic and now is looking for the team again. Smooya still didn’t find his home, where he would spend more than a year.

He took part in 4 events with fnatic, and the team didn’t manage to even take fourth place. However, at the beginning of the year, fnatic looked much more powerful than at the end of 2021. But it was not enough to show successful results.

Iulian "⁠regali⁠" Harjău replaced smooya in the main roster. Currently, fnatic are fighting for the spot at the EU RMR event. However, they still struggle in the open qualifiers.
