Dexerto confirmed the information from the organizers.

BLAST Premier World Final 2022 will be played on the latest patch. In addition to Anubis in the map pool, AWP and M4A1-S will also be nerfed.

Portal Dexerto contacted the organizers of BLAST Premier World Final 2022 and confirmed that it would be played on the new patch. Earlier, the same organizers announced that BLAST Premier Fall Final 2022 would use the old version of the game.

The BLAST decision will change many things at the year's final tier-1 tournament. First, teams that previously played Dust2 will have to prepare one new map. Secondly, the CT game will change significantly due to the M4A1-S nerf, which now does not kill with four shots at long distances. Perhaps players will choose the M4A4 as an assault rifle in maps and positions with long-range firefights.

Also, snipers and teams in which these players perform key roles will suffer significantly because AWP magazine's capacity has been reduced from 10 to 5 bullets. Now it will be psychologically challenging for players to achieve flicks and wallbangs, which were previously regular actions of top snipers.

And we have the last tier-1 tournament left, which will be held with Dust2 in the map pool. BLAST Premier Fall Final 2022 will start on November 23.
