Team Spirit get their first victory at EPL S14 over Bad News Bears

A late win but a victory nonetheless.

Fourth day of ESL Pro League Season 14 opened with a battle between a pair of winless teams - Bad News Bears and Team Spirit. And while North American squad was expected to struggle, CIS team once again underperformed and had to win the match to keep any hope of progressing further alive.

Spirit were in control from the very start of Inferno, as they showcased a bunch of new strategies and led “10-5” at the half before closing it few rounds later, “16-6”. Dust 2 was a similar story, as CIS squad showed up on their attack, picking up twelve rounds and despite a late attempt at coming back by Bad News Bears, took the map 16-8” and the entire match, “2-0”.

Tomorrow, in the last round of play, Team Spirit will face off against Team Vitality, while Bad News Bears are going to play against ENCE Esports, as CIS squad will need a victory and a loss by Finnish team to have a chance of advancing.
