Top 10 CS:GO Players: February 2023

The first full month of the professional season has come to an end. During this time, a major tier-1 tournament has ended, and now we can talk about the results of the month. Who became the best in February?

Regarding the rating from Cover.gg

When compiling the top, we relied on the individual stats of esports players exclusively at tier-1 tournaments for February 2023. Cover.gg provides the most accurate rating that allows you to get a simple and convenient assessment of each player's results in each round, map, and match. For the first time in CS:GO history, the rating pays attention to such indicators as side, economy, and many other factors that previously remained unused. The maximum rating score is 10 points!

More information on the principles of calculating the rating can be found here.

Top 10 CS:GO Players: February 2023

#10. Dzhami Jame Ali

The sniper and captain of the Outsiders team is the top 10 player for February. Outsiders and Jame performed well at IEM Katowice 2023, the sniper finished the tournament with a rating of 6.7. The team also performed decently in the ESL Pro League Season 17 group stage. As a result, Jame has an average rating of 6.4.

#9. Michael Grim Wince

Grim became one of the discoveries of this month. Complexity managed to surprise the community with their performance at IEM Katowice 2023. Although the team did not make it out of the group stage, they showed themselves to be extremely worthy, especially for North America.

Grim was one of the leaders of the team at this tournament. With his performance, he achieved a rating of 6.4, which made him the ninth player in the top 10 for February.

#8. Casper cadiaN Møller

We have another captain-sniper on our list. Heroic are currently one of the leaders of the scene, and it would be strange if cadiaN did not make it into the top 10 of the month. In February, the Heroic captain managed to reach the top 2 at IEM Katowice 2023 and show good individual performance. His average rating is 6.5. His best performance was in the match against Natus Vincere in the semi-finals of the tournament in Katowice. You can check the detailed statistics of the match via the link.

#7. Nemanja huNter Kovač

Another G2 player finished in the top 10 of the month. huNter earned his seventh place, as the player showed excellent performance at IEM Katowice 2023, which was won by G2. His rating is 6.5. Looking at this rating as a whole, anybody can understand why G2 are the best team in the world right now.

#6. Hakon Hallzerk Fjaerli

Norwegian sniper Hallzerk of Complexity Gaming made a real splash at the start of 2023. Hallzerk's individual performance allowed his team to take 5-8th place at IEM Katowice 2023. With a few more such performances, Hallzerk will become a real star of COL. His individual rating for February is 6.5.

#5 Ilya m0NESY Osipov

m0NESY, like G2 Esports, demonstrates confident play at the start of the season. Previously, G2's victory at the tournament in Katowice was mentioned, and the Russian sniper demonstrated a consistently high level of CS at that championship. m0NESY's best game in February was in the first round of Group A in ESL Pro League Season 17 against Eternal Fire - he finished the match with a rating of 7.2. However, Osipov and his team then stumbled a bit, which prevented him from taking a higher position in the top 10 CS:GO players in February 2023. m0NESY's rating for February is 6.6.

#4 Sergey Ax1Le Rykhtorov

Cloud9 failed at IEM Katowice 2023. This failure can be attributed to changes in the team roster and the stage of getting used to a new member of the roster, which was proven by the team's performance in Group A at EPL S17. C9 dominated Evil Geniuses, G2 Esports, and Outsiders, losing only one map in the process. One of the factors for success was Ax1Le's individual play. In February, he achieved a rating of 6.7.

#3 Jakob Jabbi Nygaard

Heroic successfully qualified for BLAST Premier: Spring Final 2023 and, yes, took second place in Katowice. The team has been consistently demonstrating top-level CS for six months already. Jabbi plays a significant role in the success of the Danes. In February, he became one of the best players and received a rating of 6.8. However, this was not enough to take the top spot in the ranking.

#2 Mathieu ZywOo Herbaut

Seeing the French sniper in the second position of a certain rating in recent years has become familiar. After incredible performances in 2019 and 2020, ZywOo constantly seems to be missing something. He tries his best to carry Team Vitality to the top of the professional CS:GO scene, but his teammates often let him down. The French esports athlete finished February with a rating of 6.9. His best performance last month came in the matchup against Fnatic in the group stage of IEM Katowice. The statistics of the matchup are available here.

#1 Dmitry sh1ro Sokolov

Cloud9's performance in the group stage of ESL Pro League Season 17 surprised everyone, and sh1ro's game against G2, for which he received a rating of 8.4, still haunts his opponents in their nightmares. The Russian sniper simply toyed with his opponents and did whatever he wanted. More freedom was given to the esports player on the server, and it immediately paid off. Thus, with an individual rating of 7.1, Sokolov became the best player in CS:GO in February 2023.

There is still a whole season ahead on the professional CS:GO scene, but the race for the title of the best player of the year already looks very interesting. The usual suspects, s1mple, ZywOo, and NiKo, will have to prove that they still have what it takes to compete with younger rivals. The competition promises to be fierce!
