Top 20 CS:GO Superstars: a Ranking of the Most Popular Counter-Strike Players of 2022

Cover.gg has prepared the final rating of the most popular professional CS:GO players in 2022.

Criteria for rating:

  • The number of followers in the player's social networks.
  • The number of followers and hours of viewing the channel on Twitch in 2022.
  • The number of information sources and the player's profile views on Cover.gg in 2022.

Based on these criteria, we compiled three indicators: the index of social networks, the Twitch index, and the Cover.gg index. Players could receive a maximum of 10 points for each of these indicators. Their sum determined the final score and the position of the players in the rating.

Players ranked from 20 to 11 in the rating have a relatively large fan base on social networks, but they have not developed their channels on Twitch for more than three years. Therefore, full immersion in the training process didn't help to improve the results at tournaments of some of these players. Because of this, sometimes you must distract yourself and devote time to something else, for example, your media.

#20. Yury Yuurih Santush — 0.92

#19. Kit NAF Markovych — 1.01

#18. Nick nitr0 Cannell — 1.27

#17. Emil Magisk Rafe — 1.45

#16. Andrey arT Pyovezan — 1.53

#13. Lukas gla1ve Rossander — 1.62

#12. Jonathan EliGE Jablonowski — 1.65

#11. Robin ropz Kohl — 1.73

Next, we have the players who took 10 to 6 places in the coverage rating from Cover.gg. These cyber sportsmen have more than 100 thousand subscribers on their social networks and many views on our portal. However, almost all of them had no activity on Twitch, which did not allow them to compete in the top five.

#10. Dan apEX Madesclar — 1.74

#9. Peter dupreeh Rasmussen — 1.96

At once, three FaZe Clan players were placed in a row in the rating table, and one more was just two places behind. Unbelievable! There is a reasonable explanation for this phenomenon. The team created its own "era" this year by repeatedly winning competitions. For example, FaZe's championship at the PGL Major Antwerp 2022 increased the fan base of athletes several times. However, the passive development of media is good, but to apply for higher places, you need to make at least some effort in addition to winning tourname

Every esports athlete should understand that it is essential to demonstrate an excellent game and develop his media component. When you have a lot of subscribers on social networks, followers on Twitch, and people recognize you on the streets, this will benefit you and the organization you represent. Clubs are ready to spend money on transfers of such players, offer them large contracts, etc. It is high time for professional players to think about this fact and act accordingly.
